After the Mumbai Marathon

The first ever in India… Mumbai Photo Marathon 2007 is successful at the first stage.
The preparation from our side was quite good to make it successful. Ashok - the Gem in Magnet’s design team made a wonderful logo of Mumbai Photo Marathon that you see on my blog. Prakash another Magneteer created a I-card.

I created the letters to take permissions from authorities at certain places.. (if we need any). Nirav and his father helped me to create this letter. We also took some print outs of the Agenda and all the participant’s names behind it. The preparation was all good.

I picked up Sai from her home and headed to Juhu. We then gathered at Juhu as decided. It was 6:15am sharp and when we reached the Chowpatty Nirav, Nikita and Prakash were already present there.
Later in few minutes we were a good head count. Prem, Bharat, Naveen joined us there. We took many snaps and then moved ahead as following our Agenda. All the guys left for the bus stop while me and Sai rode the Karizma.

We reached the Bandra reclamation and first time in my life I saw no car on the flyover. We took some still from there and moved for Dadar. We also took some good pictures from Dadar’s fish and vegetable market.
Again all gathered at Dadar station. We shared our experience till then and decided to meet up at Haji Ali.
We were on bike.. the time was around 12pm. Heat was on its stake. The city was crowded by then. As usual it was very difficult to get a good parking. We could not found any good place at HajiAli and am possessive for my love.. my Karizma. We decided to park Karizma at Dadar. We went back to Shivaji Park and parked it at the safe place and joined back to the group at Haji Ali taking a Cab.
It was my first visit into Hajiali. Everyone got good snaps at hajiali. By that time all of us were damn hungry. We reached Churchgate and everyone had light lunch. Nirav and me got a chance to recharge our batteries. We were quite fresh to shoot the next targets. It was lot of fun and experience. We went to the market outside churchgate station-colaba-hotel Taj-and finally GateWay.

My wrist watch was showing 4:30pm. Sai and me were tired like anything. I decided to quit there. There was only sunset point left to end the Photo Marathon. But we decided to quit.
If I haven’t been to this Event what else would I have done? I would have slept till 9 or may be till 10. The entire day i would have done nothing but just passing time here and there. Thanks to Nirav and to all the group that they planned such a wonderful event that I will remember life long and will definitely join all the event with this group.
