Buying a New Camera

Since long time I was planning to buy a Digital Cam. Finally I have decided to buy 1 in May. My interest is in a Digi Cam with a Good lens. There are so many brands available in the market. I am little confused for which Brand I should go for and which lenses would be better. The lenses I would prefer are of 10x to 18x. The MP don’t matter much for me. The higher the MP the bigger the size of picture we get. So I think I will go for 6mp to 7.1mp at the max. I don’t want to buy a camera which would cost more than 18k. I have searched online for some Cams and got these prises online. The actual prises in shops will be the same.. there might be little difference of 200 to 500 Rs.

Any suggestions?
