A Common Man
Posted by Ameya on September 27th, 2008 filed in lifeWhen I was a kid, I used to open newspaper just to read the cartoons by R.K. Laxman. The best of his creation was “The Common Man”. It was very difficult to understand what a common man really meant and to understand what was so special about it at that age. The Common Man represented in simple outfits and always with a bag with some grocery. Years passed and I was just used to read that and never gave another thought to “The Common Man” until today. I was stunned after watching “The Wednesday” by Neeraj Pandey.
On one side Hollywood and Bollywood are making movies on superheros and calling them common. (w.r.t. The Iron Man, Krishh) on the other hand there is this movie where A Common Man with no super power proves the best power. I guessed with Naseeruddin’s apparel that he is representing the common man and conclusion of the story. But Hats off to Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher with their mind blowing acting in this movie.
The planet is full of terrorism. There is no day when we don’t read about terrorism, in the news papers. We, The common man is really getting used to it. Thanking god for not dieing in yesterdays blast and just hoping to live more avoiding all such terrorist attacks by his grace. What can we do? Why don’t we do anything against this?
